the Minister of the Environment, Valéry Fils-Aimé, accompanied by the Director General of the MdE, Mr. Joseph Emmanuel Philippe, proceeded this Monday, March 16, 2026, to the official handover of 81 letters of appointment and 31 letters of promotion to executives of the institution, during a ceremony held in the conference room of the Ministry.
These administrative decisions aim to strengthen the central directorates, the departmental directorates, as well as the National Solid Waste Management Service (SNGRS), within the framework of strengthening the institutional efficiency of the Ministry.
In his address, the Minister welcomed the newly appointed officials and congratulated the promoted staff for the trust placed in them. He also commended the efforts of his predecessor, Moïse Fils Jean-Pierre, who had initiated the process of rejuvenating the institution, a dynamic he intends to continue by valuing competence, commitment, and a sense of public service.
Highlighting the many environmental challenges facing the country, Minister Valéry Fils-Aimé urged the recipients to assume their responsibilities with rigor, discipline and determination, in order to contribute effectively to the mission of the Ministry of the Environment.
He also assured that his office, his Cabinet and the General Management will remain fully mobilized to support managers in the accomplishment of their respective missions.
Through this initiative, Minister Fils-Aimé reaffirms his commitment to strengthening the administrative capacities of the Ministry of the Environment and promoting more effective public governance in the service of environmental protection and sustainable development in Haiti
